The 5 goldren rules to parenting
The 5 golden rules to parenting: At the tender age of 18 I had my first child. A beautiful little girl that came with great responsibility. Her father and myself had no idea what we were doing. At 18 you want to believe you know everything, but the truth is the only way to learn how to be a great parent is through trial and error, along with alot of positive determination. So with that said, I have 5 unwritten parenting rules that I live by. These "rules" are most inspirational on the days when you want to give up. Rule #1: "Your children always come first" This is rule #1 because, even though it is the most obvious, it is also sometimes the hardest. When you put your child first, before work, school, even housework it helps you gain priority in life. Rule #2: "Appreciate your children" Parenting isn't always easy, but it's very benifical. It can be tough sometimes with children, they are very demanding. Yet, their smiles or hugs can give you a feeling you can't achieve anywhere else. Rule #3: "Enjoy having children" The best thing about parenting is that you get to enjoy childhood all over agian through your childs eyes. Holidays, birthdays, celebrations are all made special and memoriable because of you. Which not only will bring joy to your children but too you as well. Rule #4: "Discipline is needed" Sometimes it's harder on the parents then the kids to be stern. But it is very necessary! Kids need to learn that there are limits in life, and you can't always get or do what you want. If you don't discipline your children adulthood will be a long, unstable road, because they will have to learn the hard way that life isn't that simple. Rule #5: "Have patience" This rule will not come right away (just like potty traing). Patience well keep you and your child more stable during the not so easy times. But like they say..."Patience is a Virtue"
